General Information

Parking

There is limited free parking in the immediate area of UND. Members using street parking can expect to walk up to three or four blocks. Some campus parking lots have metered parking that you may use. For a map of the entire UND campus, see:  http://www.und.edu/map/Map/map.html.

PERMIT: An alternate choice is to purchase a special annual OLLI@UND parking permit for $25. This will entitle members to park in any S, A or G lot on campus during each OLLI semester and special event. When registering for classes you may purchase your special OLLI@UND Parking Permit which is available only through OLLI@UND. When parking in campus lots, UND Parking Services requires you to display a valid UND parking permit 24/7 when parking on campus or you will be ticketed. Unfortunately, a handicapped tag will not be accepted as a substitute permit, nor will any parking permit guarantee an open spot.

Transportation

The city of Grand Forks offers transportation through Senior Rider at 701.787.9120. Door to door service is approximately $3.00 each way. Senior Rider transportation fare assistance is available to low income residents of Grand Forks County who are 60 years and better. Please contact GGF Senior Center Outreach Department for more information at 701.772.7245.

Emergency/Inclement Weather

When a decision has been made to cancel classes due to an emergency or inclement weather, the news media will be contacted. Listen to local radio stations and watch the local TV channels for announcements, or check for updates in News and Announcements. It's safe to say that if UND or BSC is closed for any reason, there will be no OLLI classes. Your personal safety is our main concern. Make-up classes will be scheduled and you will be notified of the new dates by your instructor, e-mail or phone. When in doubt, call the OLLI Office at (701.777.4840).
